SGA
provides full design services to Orleans Parish for a new 9-1-1 and Emergency
Operations Communication Facility. The facility, fully hardened and secured,
encompasses 46,000 SF and supports all needs of the local emergency communications
agencies. Planned to sustain extreme storms and flooding, the facility design
also responds to the significant affects of the warm climate and excessive
sun exposure.
Additionally, SGA assisted in the design of temporary and interim facilities for the 9-1-1 agencies whose existing facilities were rendered unusable in 2005 by Hurricane Katrina.
