In
this project, 68,000 SF is added to the existing 125,000 SF Middle School,
significantly expanding the classroom areas as well as all core and support
spaces. The grade structure is realigned and new site circulation patterns
are required as a result. The education design strives to achieve the “school
within a school” concept by centering the organization around a learning
and media center, and the new additions work to compliment and enhance the
existing aesthetic of the building.
