Architectural Design Office
Fit-out
Philadelphia, PA
Construction complete 2004
Manayunk
is a part of a corridor of communities that once served as the industrial
base for Philadelphia. This project is an office fit-out for a design company
within one of the original industrial buildings - a Civil War era masonry
and heavy timber structure.
The program includes 3500 SF of open work space on two floors as well as a private office and conference room. Careful treatment and detailing of inexpensive materials, such as wheatboard and homasote, help to differentiate the workstations while maintaining an open office atmosphere and the original character of the building.
